Ben reveals what is involved working on a blueberry farm
For nearly three months I have known my first work-exchange was to be based on a pick-your-own blueberry patch, but knowing that the blueberries will be far from ready for picking, have had no idea about what it is I'll actually be doing...
...Well I have been here now almost four full days and the work so far has simply been to transplant some of the bushes from one side of the patch across to the other. And whilst this may sound like a laborious task we have only been having to work for perhaps 4hrs a day and with the Sun shining brightly have found the process surprisingly quite therapeutic:
