Transitioning

Ben discusses what it is like to trade in a city centre apartment for a rucksack

Four weeks from now I'll be somewhere in Toronto with no routine, no job, no income and what's left of my home will be carried upon my back. And having never flown or never travelled I am confident that change will never again be quite so dramatic...

...Fortunately (and purposefully I might add) this change will be gradual and in fact the transition to my new way of life has already begun for this week I have given up my wonderful flat I have called home this past year and and with it shed 80% of everything I own.

So with me slowly easing my way in to this new way of life I write this entry tonight from a friends' spare bedroom where with my packed rucksack at the end of the bed I am beginning to get an idea of what's to come.
